'What's the speed limit?'

Due to lack of signal at the campsite last nights blog post has been delayed til this morning!

We set off bright and early and totally on schedule (not) on our hooring great journey of 521 miles from A'Dam to visit the Black Forest, Germany!

The adventures of the autobahn began, testing limits of Nina and Dumbledore, but we survived and had some great fun speeding past one another and avoiding the speedier cars who were in no mood to wait for anyone.

Our plans of wild camping were flummoxed when after a quick Google we realised this was actually illegal in Germany (oops, we're good at this whole planning thing), but eventually we found a wee campsite with promises of a beer on arrival and a Lidl along the road to fetch some Frankfurt for our camping stove dinner - what more would we need?

En route there were some fantastic picturesque views and we stopped to get a beauty of Nina and Dumbledore catching their breath after the autobahn.

Unfortunately (and naively) we didn't plan for random faff causing our arrival time to be later than anticipated so our plans of German sausages were thrown out the window. We got to the campsite, set up our tents and took a ponder to the picturesque town nearby, entertaining the locals in our attempt to navigate over a walking bridge to find a parking space.

After a lovely dinner and some ice cream, we retreated back to the campsite for a well deserved sleep.
