From Schwarzwald to Belluno, with a few stops in-between

After camping in the Black Forest we set off for Jungholz, with the intention of a quick stop in Zurich to grab some lunch.
The journey to the Swiss border was fraught with yet more roadworks on the Autobahn (it's seems it's all full steam ahead on great roads or crawling pace through major road works, with little middle ground). Crossing into Switzerland was a breeze for Nina, however Dumbledore was subjected to everything shy of a strip search by border patrol! Having successfully presented all the correct papers and avoided small talk about football we all got on our way for what was now to be a 'late lunch'.
Having parked up at another P+R we trundled into the city on another tram and soon found ourselves at Central Station in the middle of a torrential downpour. After a quick bite to eat and a mooch around town we headed back to the cars and got back on the road, this time heading for Jungholz where we planned to camp for the night.

Now running a few hours behind schedule we powered on hoping to get the tents up before nightfall. However, hitting more traffic on our way back from Switzerland into Germany, and then on into Austria this did not happen, and we arrived into a small town named Wertach just 2.5 miles from Jungholz where we discovered the only apprent road into Jungholz from this side of the mountain was closed off for road works, with no visible diversions. As it was now getting late, no available hotels nearby and darkness well and truly set in we sought out a suitable car park to sleep in the cars (A, C and S squeezed into Nina, and myself playing a game of Tetris to try and lie down in the MR2)

Waking up pretty sore all over, we started our journey into the Alps in the morning, heading for the Italian town of Cortina D'Ampezzo. We had a beatiful drive in scorching sunshine through the Austrian and Italian Alps, and stopped for a couple of Photo opportunities:

As Sod's low dictates the the heavens opened 5 miles from our destination and we arrived at the camp site to a heavy drizzle; luckily only a passing shower and we soon got pitched up and made use of the showering facilities!
Time for bed now, before heading off towards Venice tomorrow!
