Well, after 6 1/2 hours driving, a stop off at Port Edgar to check out the new and old bridges and a journey along the slowest road in the developed world (the A1), we arrived in perfect time for our overnight ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam.
It's time now to set sail for the continent!
